Villa in Croatia with Hot Tub

Villa in Croatia with hot tub: heated all year, separately controlled, ideal for evenings and the shoulder season. Three villas between Split and Trogir.

A villa in Croatia with a hot tub is nice in July – in November it's a completely different experience. While the large pool rests during the winter months, the hot tub at all three of our villas in Kaštel Stari stays heated all year round. That makes it everyone's favourite spot for exactly the hours you'd otherwise spend indoors on holiday: early in the morning, late in the evening and on clear winter days.

Hot tub and pool: two pools, two jobs

All three houses have a heated saltwater pool and a hot tub. The two can be controlled independently – the pool at a pleasant swimming temperature, the hot tub considerably warmer.

  • The pool is for swimming, splashing about and cooling off. It's heated from the end of March to October at no extra charge.
  • The hot tub is for warming up and switching off. It's heated all year round – even when the large pool rests from November to March.

If you'd still like to use the large pool in winter, we'll heat it on request and charge only the electricity costs. More about the swimming season in spring and autumn on our page Villa in Croatia with Heated Pool.

Evenings: why the hot tub is underrated in summer

In high summer, hardly anyone thinks about warm water. And yet the hot tub is well used even then – just at different times:

  • After sunset, when it gets pleasant on the terrace and the children are asleep. From the terraces of Villa Just be Alive and Villa Just be Happy, you look out over the Bay of Kaštela, with the lights towards Split and Trogir in the evening.
  • After a long day out, for example after the loop trail in Krka National Park or a hike on Kozjak.
  • Early in the morning, before the heat arrives.

A word from the neighbourhood: our villas are in quiet residential areas. Chatting in the hot tub until late is no problem; loud music outdoors after 10pm is.

Winter and shoulder season: the hot tub as a reason to come

From November to March, Dalmatia is a different place: an empty promenade, mild sunny days, often around 11 degrees during the day in January. Swimming in the sea is out of the question then – but a hot tub under the open sky is very much on. Especially on longer winter stays, it's the difference between "quite nice" and "we'll be back".

What you should know for winter:

  • From November to April we mostly rent by the month, with a minimum stay of one month. Discounts for longer stays are listed under Long Stays & Discounts.
  • There's air conditioning and heating in every room, and Just be Alive and Just be Light also have underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
  • Starlink internet at up to approx. 400 Mbps makes working from home possible between hot tub breaks.
  • The bura and jugo winds can make the odd day windy or wet. More in our guide Long Stays in Dalmatia.

What you shouldn't expect

To avoid any false impressions: there's no sauna at any of our villas. And the hot tub is a hot tub, not a swimming pool – if you want to swim lengths in winter, you'll need the large pool heated (for the cost of the electricity).

Which villa suits you?

  • Villa Just be Alive – hot tub area integrated into the pool and separately heated, sea views from the terrace and upper floor, plus a gym.
  • Villa Just be Light – separately heated, extra-hot hot tub for up to ten people in the secluded pool area.
  • Villa Just be Happy – pool with integrated hot tub on the large terrace overlooking the bay.

All three offer five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms for up to ten guests. You'll find our guests' reviews under Reviews.
