Finding a last-minute villa in Croatia is less a matter of luck than of technique: knowing where available dates turn up, how flexible the arrival days are, and what's different about short-notice bookings. Let's be clear from the start: we don't have "last-minute deals" with made-up discounts. What we do have are three pool villas in Kaštel Stari where a week sometimes becomes free at short notice – and a direct line that lets you find out quickly.
How to find available dates

Every villa page has a calendar with live availability and the final price. The quickest way is to check all three villas one after the other:
2. Play around with the dates
In summer we usually rent from Saturday to Saturday; from around 14 nights we're more flexible. Often, shifting your stay by a single day is enough to fit into a gap. Try a few different dates before you give up.
3. Ask on WhatsApp
Some gaps aren't obvious in the calendar at first glance – for example, when a period only works with a different arrival or departure day. Send us your preferred dates and group size on WhatsApp. We usually reply within a few minutes and will tell you honestly what's possible.
Booking at short notice: what's different
If you book early, you pay 50% straight away and the balance 60 days before arrival. For last-minute bookings, this split doesn't apply:
- Booking less than 60 days before arrival: the full amount is due immediately on booking.
- Cancellation: it's only free up to 60 days before arrival. So if you book at short notice, you're generally booking without the option of a refund. If special circumstances arise, get in touch – we'll look for a solution together, but we can't promise one.
- Payment: securely via Stripe by card (incl. Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, SEPA direct debit or bank transfer – depending on amount and country; PayPal only up to a maximum amount.
- Security deposit: €500, refunded in full after departure.
The best price applies at short notice too
Booking directly with us, the price is always at least 5% cheaper than on any platform – including short-notice bookings. If you find the same villa cheaper anywhere else, let us know: we'll match it and usually beat the price by at least 5%. The final price already includes final cleaning, tourist tax, pool heating in season, electricity, water, linen, Wi-Fi and parking – more under Croatia Holiday Villa with No Hidden Extras.

Honestly: when last minute gets difficult
At popular times such as the summer holidays, our villas have been fully booked in recent years – short-notice gaps are rare then. If you're tied to school holidays, it's better to plan ahead (see Villa in Croatia for the Summer Holidays). Outside the holiday weeks, the chances are naturally better. And from November to April we rent by the month, so there are no short stays of just a few days.
