If you're looking for accommodation for wedding guests in Split or Trogir, you usually have one particular problem: the celebration is planned, but you don't want family and friends scattered across five hotels. That's exactly where our villas in Kaštel Stari work well – two houses right next to each other for up to 20 guests, and up to 30 with a third house. To avoid any false expectations, we'll say it straight away: our villas are the base for your wedding guests, not the wedding venue itself.
Why Kaštel Stari is so convenient for wedding guests
- Trogir, with its UNESCO-listed old town – one of the most beautiful backdrops on the Adriatic – is around 10 minutes away.
- Split is around 25 minutes by car.
- Split Airport is around 10 minutes away. For guests arriving from different cities at different times, that's far easier logistically than accommodation with a long transfer.
- Self check-in from 4pm: Alive and Light via digital PIN pad, Happy via key box. Anyone landing late in the evening can get straight into the house – no key being passed around the group.
How many guests fit
| Combination | Guests | Location |
|---|---|---|
| One villa | up to 10 | – |
| Just be Alive + Just be Light | up to 20 | right next to each other |
| Alive + Light + Just be Happy | up to 30 | Happy around 1 to 1.5 km away |
Our experience from many group bookings: the three-house option works well when the group staying a little further away is clearly defined – for example the bride and groom, who want some peace on the wedding morning, or the family with small children who'll be leaving early in the evening anyway. It works less well when the people staying there actually want to be in the thick of things.
Every bedroom has its own bathroom – which also matters when ten people want to get ready on the same morning at the same time. At Just be Alive, the fifth room doubles as a gym, with a proper full-size bed.
Honestly: not party houses
Our villas are in quiet residential areas, some on a cul-de-sac. They aren't party venues, and we don't rent them out as such.
- A long evening by the pool with music at a normal volume? Absolutely fine.
- A party with a sound system until four in the morning? Not possible.
- Smoking outdoors only – the houses have air-quality sensors, and breaches incur a special cleaning fee of €500.
- We ask for one responsible contact person per group on site.
This isn't about being difficult; it's the condition that allows us to keep working here in the long term. If you're looking for a real party venue, please tell us openly – we'd rather point you elsewhere than have things get awkward on the ground.
What the villa does for your wedding schedule
Before the big day: arrivals and a shared dinner. Every villa has a dining table for ten and an outdoor kitchen with barbecue. On request, we can arrange a private chef who cooks in the villa and clears up afterwards. Peka, the traditional dish slow-cooked under an iron bell, usually needs to be ordered a day in advance – we're happy to share good places.
On the wedding day: the villa is meeting point and retreat – for getting ready, for a break in between, for children who need a nap. For getting to the venue in several cars: four private parking spaces at each of the three villas.
The day after: pool, hot tub, a long breakfast. For many guests, that's the best part.

What else matters for wedding groups
- All-inclusive final price covering final cleaning, tourist tax, pool and hot tub heating (in season), electricity, water, linen, Wi-Fi and parking – no separate bills per house
- Security deposit of €500 per house, refunded in full after departure
- Payment: 50% on booking, the balance automatically 60 days before arrival; free cancellation up to 60 days before arrival
- Baby equipment free of charge, dogs welcome (€79 per dog per stay)
- Season: large pool heated from the end of March to October – so weddings in May or September get poolside swimming weather too
Frequently asked questions
Can the wedding itself take place at the villa?
No. Our villas serve as accommodation and a base for your guests, not as a venue for the celebration. A shared dinner in the house at a normal volume is of course possible.
Are Alive and Light really right next to each other?
Yes. We're happy to check whether both are free for your dates.
What do we need to send for an enquiry?
Group size and make-up (couples, singles, children), your preferred dates with an alternative, the occasion, and whether two houses side by side would suit you.
Are the arrival days fixed?
In summer, usually Saturday to Saturday; from around 14 nights, more flexible. For wedding groups, just ask us directly.
